Good news! The 2026 Fair Book is now available in both online and print format for the Bayfield Community Fair, which will take place Aug 14-16. The Fair Book provides all of the information that exhibitors need to enter their exhibits in this year\u2019s Fair. All exhibitors are encouraged to read the Fair Book carefully. It contains important information on entry rules and regulations, entry forms and deadlines, fees, special category requirements, judging criteria, prizes to be won, and much more.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Fair Book features new classes of microwave entries in the Culinary Arts section for the\u00a0folks who like to avoid using their stoves in the summer.\u00a0 There are also lots of new classes in the\u00a0Youth section.\u00a0 A special prize in the Sewing section honours Ina Fisher, who was a former homecraft president.<\/p>\n

Here in Bayfield, copies of the Fair Book can be picked up at the Bayfield Library, Bayfield Convenience Store, ShopBike, and Huron Ridge Garden Centre. Copies can also be picked up in Goderich at the Goderich Library, Elizabeth\u2019s Art Gallery, and BYOB, and in Clinton at the Clinton Library, the Dutch Store, and Verbeek\u2019s Hardware, as well as craft\/quilt shops, garden centres, and libraries in Exeter, Hensall, Seaforth, and Zurich.<\/p>\n

The artwork on the cover of the 2026 Fair Book was the 2025 winning Bayfield Fair Poster in the Intermediate category (Grade 5 to Grade 8), created by Eva Furter. The Fair Poster entries always show amazing creativity and imagination.<\/p>\n

There is no end of talent and skills in this community. Anyone who hasn\u2019t exhibited before should give it a whirl. Ribbons and prize winnings are there to be won. The BAS is issuing a challenge to everyone in the community to show their community spirit by entering at least one exhibit in this year\u2019s Fair. Time to get started on your exhibits!<\/p>\n
