EVENT UPDATE!

The pieces are all in place now for our fireworks event on Saturday, October 11th. The final details are given below. Thank you for your patience and support as we worked through the planning process on a very short timeline.

The location is Bayfield Agricultural Park – 1 Fry Street in Bayfield. The fireworks will start at 8 p.m. Enter the park through the front gates on Fry Street. Find some space on the bleachers or bring your own lawn chairs and picnic blankets.

The Bayfield Optimists are planning to participate with popcorn and glow stick bracelets for the children. Be sure to check out their brand-new inflatable popcorn arch! Bayfield Area Food Bank volunteers will be collecting donations of cash and/or food items for those who need some extra help this Thanksgiving.

A full evening of entertainment has been planned. Before the fireworks, Jason & The Nomads will be playing in the Agricultural Park pavilion from 7 to 8 p.m. Plan to arrive early and enjoy Jason’s family-friendly and energetic “rockabilly” style of music.

Following the fireworks, there will be an extended time in the park with more music in the baseball diamond from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m. This licensed event will be family-friendly. Enter the ball diamond through the large side gate. The music will be by home plate and the ball field lights will be on. Our featured musician for this portion of the evening’s entertainment will be Lance Bedard, lead vocalist and guitarist of the local band Highway 21. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to mark the area you want to hang out in. There will be a $10 cover charge for all adults entering the licensed area with no charge for the children. Dance, sing along, and enjoy the company of family, friends, neighbours, and other community residents at this unique outdoor music event.

Come for the fireworks and stay for the music and social time afterward. We look forward to a fun evening of celebrating “Thanksgiving in the Park” with you!
