Homecraft exhibits are to be dropped off at the Bayfield Arena on Thursday, Aug 15 from 7-9 p.m. or on Friday, Aug 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The 2024 Fair Book contains all of the information that exhibitors need for their entries.

The countdown is on! The Bayfield Community Fair is now less than 2 weeks away. Fair organizers are busy putting the finishing touches on Fair events and activities – some old and traditional and some new. The Bayfield Agricultural Society encourages everyone in the community to participate in the Fair as an exhibitor, volunteer, or visitor.

People planning to exhibit at the Fair are reminded that all of the exhibit categories and entry requirements can be viewed online in the 2024 Fair Book. Entries can also be completed through Online Submission. A print version of the 2024 Fair Book is available at area libraries, garden centres, craft/sewing/quilt shops, art shops, and organizations.

To avoid congestion, there are two time periods for dropping off exhibits at the arena prior to the Fair: Thursday, Aug 15 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, Aug 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. All exhibits for inside departments must be received at the Bayfield Arena before 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Aug 16. For exhibits in the Art and Photography categories, the deadline for drop-off is no later than 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug 16 to allow time for setting up the displays.

The parade, which will be held starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug 17, still has room for more participants. Members of the community can enter a float or group to represent their organization, business, community group, or neighbourhood. This is a great opportunity to get exposure for a business or organization. Musicians, dance groups, classic cars, vintage tractors, campgrounds – all are welcome! Please visit 2024 Parade for details and contact information.

The success of the Bayfield Fair relies on the contributions of volunteers. Extra volunteers are still needed to help with set up, take down, parade, and various other activities during the Fair. Whether it’s a few hours or a few days, volunteer help is always appreciated. High school students needing extra hours to complete their volunteer service requirements for graduation are most welcome. Anyone who is interested in volunteering and has not already been contacted can Register to Volunteer.

Join in the fun – exhibit, participate, volunteer!
