As a special celebration for our 170th anniversary and the Village of Bayfield’s 150th anniversary, we’re hosting a one-of-a-kind competition to be held on opening night of the 2026 Bayfield Fair.

Place: Bayfield Agricultural Park, 1 Fry St., Bayfield, ON
“Man vs Tractor Tug of War” puts an agricultural twist on a classic team challenge. Teams of four will test their strength by pulling a John Deere 6M 150 tractor, generously provided by Huron Tractor, using a tug rope supplied by Tuckersmith Communications Co-op (TCC).
Each team (all ages) will race against the clock, pulling the tractor over a predetermined distance in the Main Show Ring. Official timing will be provided by REACH Huron, making every second count!
Bragging rights are priceless—but thanks to the generous support of TCC, the top three teams will also earn a donation to the registered charity of their choice:
🥇 1st Place: $200 charitable donation
🥈 2nd Place: $100 charitable donation
🥉 3rd Place: $50 charitable donation
